Abdul-Sumi Dalal, Esq., managing partner and Chair of the firm’s litigation department focuses his practice in the prosecution of intellectual property matters and first party insurance commercial litigation. Mr. Dalal has recovered over $25M in damages and attorneys fees for his clients and has litigated over 10,000 cases giving him significant trial experience from the inception of a case through jury verdict. Mr. Dalal also regularly serves as an expert witness for other attorneys that have required his assistance in recovering attorney’s fees and costs.
Mr. Dalal earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance from Florida International University, graduating with honors. While attending Florida International University, Mr. Dalal was a consistent recipient of the invitational scholars and Florida merit scholars programs. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies and prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Dalal worked as a Senior Financial Analyst in Miami, Florida. Mr. Dalal received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, graduating Cum Laude and served as the Associate Managing Editor of the Nova Journal of International & Comparative Law. Excelling in trial advocacy, Mr. Dalal has developed a passion for the court room and centers his work in anticipation of proceeding to trial.
A native Floridian, Mr. Dalal was born and raised in Miami, Florida and resides in Davie, Florida. Outside of his legal work, Mr. Dalal is an active member in the community and enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
